Un Coeur en Hiver →
onfilmdirecting: I am a great fan of Claude Sautet, especially Un coeur en hiver. — Wes Anderson (x) As a general rule, the characters in French films seem more grownup than those in American films. They do not consider love and sex as a teenager might, as the prizes in life. Instead, they are challenges and responsibilities, and not always to be embraced. Most movie romances begin with...

pullingpuzzles asked: I listened to Wes Anderson's interview on Fresh Air (NPR) today, and while the conversation you reblogged is similar, it's not really a direct quotation of what Wes said at all. Now, I usually don't have problems with misquotes on the internet, but this just makes Wes and Terry Gross seem a little stupid.

"Moonrise" Breaks Box Office Records →
To put all of this in perspective, ‘Men in Black 3′ averaged only $12,947 per theater, roughly 10% of ‘Moonrise Kingdom’s average. Although Will Smith’s 4,248 theaters and $70 million take look like big numbers, they are actually far less impressive than Wes Anderson’s $669,000. Such is the way of Hollywood. ofreisandmen asked: Do you know where I could find a gif of Royal Tenenbaum saying "Ethel! Where's my javelina?" I'm in Arizona (where the javelina is most feared) and I keep texting my friend who also loves Wes with pictures of them and I'd like to post the gif on his Tumblr. I figure you're the expert, you'd be able to find it where I can't :)

New Owen Wilson film co-produced by Noah & Wes
dosscunt: Here’s a neat little article, used the word “quirky” in the first sentence which pisses me off like nothing else, but still! Here’s another film to look forward to. If Anderson and Baumbach are in, that’s a good sign. New Owen Wilson film with influence of Wesley and Noah? YES PLEASE! PS. Agreed on the ‘quirky’… I don’t know how some people get a job at...
